1.3    "Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 352.01, subdivision 2, is amended to read:
1.4    Subd. 2. State employee. "State employee" means any employee or officer in the
1.5classified and unclassified service of the state. The term also includes the special classes of
1.6persons listed in subdivision 2a but excludes the special classes of persons listed in
1.7subdivision 2b. In no event may an undocumented foreign national be considered an included
1.8employee under subdivision 2a and be permitted to participate as a member of any pension
1.9plan administered by the Minnesota State Retirement System.
1.10EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment."
